The Village

For Parents Who Want to Stay Steady in a Changing World

The Village is a five-circle, small-cohort experience for parents unsettled by the cultural, educational, and political systems shaping their children's lives. Together, we practice reflection over reactivity, long-view thinking over urgency, and growth over blame. This is not therapy and not a debate forum. It is a guided space for parents committed to equity, inclusion, and raising future adults.

Who This is For

The Village is for parents who believe in equity and the dignity of all people, and who want to raise children who are resilient, compassionate, and capable of thinking for themselves. It is for those who feel the ground shifting beneath institutions they once trusted — schools, media, politics, community — and who want to respond with steadiness rather than panic or withdrawal. This is not a space for venting about the world. It is a space for strengthening how you show up within it. Participants should be willing to examine their own assumptions, stay curious in the face of change, and grow alongside their children.

What We’ll Do

The Village unfolds over five Circles. Each builds on the last.

Circle 1: Orientation

What kind of world are we parenting in — and how do we keep our footing inside it?

We establish shared language, long-view thinking, and clear agreements for reflective conversation.

Circle 2: Discernment

When do I step in, step back, or pause?

We examine guidance vs control, fear vs values, technology and social media, identity development, and the discipline of slowing down before reacting.

Circle 3: Relationship

How do I stay connected as my child becomes more themselves?

We explore distance, repair, adolescence, emerging adulthood, and parenting toward long-term relationship rather than short-term compliance.

Circle 4: Alignment

How do I live my values without turning urgency into anxiety?

We look at activism, comparison, burnout, and how our convictions shape the climate of our homes.

Circle 5: Continuity

What posture do I want to carry forward?

We integrate what we’ve practiced and clarify the kind of parent we are choosing to become.
